[NEWS]Sung Kim, U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, Invited for a Town HallMeeting, ¡°60 Years of Partnership and Shared Prosperity¡±

OnApril 4, Korea University (KU) invited Sung Kim, U.S. ambassador to theRepublic of Korea, to have a town hall meeting, entitled ¡°60 years ofPartnership and Shared Prosperity¡±, from 4 P.M. at KU SUPEX Hall, LG-POSCOBuilding (4F). Sung Kim is a former U.S. special envoy for the six-party talks.The meeting was held by KU Ilmin International Relations Institute.
Studentsfrom different majors and classes attended the meeting. Foreign students at KUwere also eager to listen to the ambassador. The town hall meeting focused onactive interactions with students and the ambassador rather than on a speechdone by Kim. It mainly proceeded with students¡¯ questions which were aboutpartnerships and relations. Specifically, students asked about Korean-Americanrelations, issues on American forces, and about relations with North Korea. SungKim, in response, talked about crucial elements for keeping long-lasting strong,trustworthy partnerships.
Throughoutthe meeting, he constantly emphasized the importance of finding ways to workfor future.
